This finishing disc is particularly for use on metals, and hard surfaces such as Corian, paints, laquers, gel coats, and automotive finishes. It is velours backed to attach itself onto your velcro sanding pad, and can be used wet or dry. It is used on Corian to achieve a semi gloss or satin gloss finish, and on paints and laquers to de nib and key in preparation for the next coat. On stainless steel, it is used to give a fine satin finish and the graining effect. For Corian finishing, use the Very Fine one to achieve a semi gloss finish, and the Ultra Fine disc to attain a satin gloss finish. The very fine disc is red coloured, and the ultra fine disc is grey coloured.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THESE ARE BEING SUPERSEDED BY DISCS WITHOUT ANY HOLES IN THEM. THIS WILL MAKE NO DIFFERENCE TO THE PERFORMANCE OF THE DISC IN TERMS OF DUST EXTRACTION, AS THERE IS VENTILATION THROUGH THE DISC AND ITS BACKING.
